Cobalt-Nickel Project, Cameroon

PAH is currently preparing a pre-feasibility study for this project for the mining and processing of lateritic cobalt/nickel/manganese ores. The processing plant incorporates physical upgrading, leaching, liquid/solid separation and solvent extraction.

Koniambo Nickel Project, New Caledonia

PAH was retained by CIBC World Markets (CIBC) to serve as Independent Engineer for the Koniambo Nickel Project located in New Caledonia . The audit was conducted primarily to provide a technical review of the project for use by financial institutions interested in joining the Senior Lenders group for the project.

Mechel Steel Group Nickel Mines, Russia

PAH evaluated Yzuralnickel's two open-pit nickel laterite mines (Sakhara and Buruktal) in the southern Urals. Each mine supplies about one million tonnes per year of nickel ore to Yzuralnickel's metallurgical plant in Orsk , Russia . Ferronickel is produced by sintering, shaft-furnace reduction and converting to produce matte. Nickel matte is oxidized in fluid-bed furnaces to produce nickel oxide. Upgraded nickel oxide is partially reduced in a rotating kiln followed by full reduction to ferronickel in an electric arc furnace.

Ferguson Lake Project, Canada

We conducted an independent technical review of the Ferguson Lake exploration in Nunvut Territory, Canada for Starfield Resources Inc. The review addressed geology, exploration, and resource work. The deposit contains nickel, platinum, palladium, and copper.

Musongati Nickel Deposit, Burundi

Argosy Mining Corp. asked PAH to provide a Valuation Report for the Musongati Nickel Deposit to its Committee of Independent Directors in relation to a proposed takeover bid for Andover Resources N.L. PAH reviewed publicly available corporate information and other reports and technical information. We then selected a number of valuation methods and applied the most appropriate to the valuation of the Burundi assets.
