Cliffs Michigan Mining Company, Empire Mine
PAH was asked to evaluate the mine plans for the final years of operations on the Empire Mine, specifically to validate remaining reserves and offer suggestions as to where and how additional reserves might be added to the project. PAH examined the mining practices, operating costs and grade control measures, as well as basic metallurgical response which formed the underpinnings of the Empire plan
Mechel Korshunovsky Iron Ore Mines
PAH provided an assessment of mining assets as a basis Mechel Steel Group's mine valuations in support of US SEC filings. The properties are comprised of three surface mines, which produce a magnetite ore, and a concentrator. Iron ore reserves were reviewed and mine valuations estimated for F-1 filing with the US SEC. The iron ore mines are projected to produce over 11 million tonnes per year and contain about 196 million tonnes of reserves.
Fortesque River, Magnetite-Taconite Deposit, Western Australia
A review was conducted of this undeveloped magnetite-taconite iron deposit in the Hammersley Basin of Western Australia. PAH evaluated the reserves and mine plan and assessed potential project risks for the development as an open pit operation to produce direct reduced iron (DRI). Worked with our client to generate an economic evaluation for an acquisition decision.
Hierro Peru Project, Peru
This privatization project encompassed a detailed evaluation of all technical aspects, including reserve estimation, mine planning, equipment selection, concentrate evaluation, pelletization facilities, and evaluation of all infrastructure facilities. PAH also conducted a detailed study of the market for all Hierro Peru products.
Pea Ridge Iron Ore, USA
PAH performed an appraisal of the mine equipment, mining-related machinery, and spare parts inventory at the Pea Ridge Iron Ore Company near Sullivan, Missouri. The objective was to derive an orderly liquidation value for the equipment and associated parts.
Rex Project, USA
A prefeasibility study was conducted to evaluate the potential for the open pit development of additional mineralization in the Rex deposit, adjacent to previously mined iron orebodies. PAH created a resource model of the magnetite mineralization, developed a mine plan and estimated reserves, planned for a pellitizing process plant, and assessed the overall economics of development.
