Lafarge Corporation, Specialty Aggregates Quarry, USA

PAH developed alternative haul road layouts from the existing facilities into the proposed expansion area. This work involved laying out the centerlines, and determining the cut-and-fill volumes. Using the mine plan maps and out dated aerial maps, PAH developed a topography map that approximated the existing conditions. We used this new map to determine the quantity of remaining material in the existing mine plan, on a bench-by-bench basis.

Atocongo Limestone Deposit, Peru

PAH prepared an estimate of geological resources and a preliminary estimate of mineable reserves for the Atocongo limestone deposit, the largest portland cement plant in Peru. PAH's work included the review of geology and data collection techniques, development of a mineral inventory (geologic resource), and preliminary estimate of mineable ore reserves based on the floating cone technique.
